        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Former Playboy Playmate Ashley Mattingly died of a self-inflicted gunshot, her autopsy report revealed Friday.</p><p>Mattingly, 33, <strong>who was found dead</strong> in her Austin, Texas, home in April, put a handgun in her mouth and pulled the trigger, according to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office&#8217;s report, <strong>obtained by TMZ</strong>.</p><p>The report also includes toxicology results indicating Mattingly had opiates and benzos in her system when she died.</p><p>Her family previously told TMZ she had been struggling with substance abuse and alcohol abuse and was trying to get better.</p><p>The family claims the state’s shelter-in-place order during the coronavirus crisis was an additional burden for Mattingly, who recently adopted a 9-month-old puppy “to help with her loneliness.”</p><figure id="attachment_5286370"  class="wp-caption aligncenter"><strong><noscript><img data- data-src="/uploads/2020/06/ashley-mattingly.jpg" class="lazyload" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==" /><noscript><img  data-src="/uploads/2020/06/ashley-mattingly.jpg" /></noscript></noscript><img class="lazyload" src='data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20210%20140%22%3E%3C/svg%3E' data- data-src="/uploads/2020/06/ashley-mattingly.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span>Ashley Mattingly</span><span class="credit">WireImage</span></figcaption></figure><p>Mattingly was Playboy’s Miss March in 2011.</p>]]></content:encoded>
