        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Facebook is canceling all large gatherings until June 2021, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Thursday.</p><p>The social network is also extending its requirement that employees work from home through the end of May, and will permit employees who don&#8217;t feel comfortable coming in to work remotely &#8220;through at least the summer.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;A small percent of our critical employees who can&#8217;t work remotely, like content reviewers working on counter-terrorism or suicide and self-harm prevention, and engineers working on complex hardware, may be able to return sooner, but overall, we don&#8217;t expect to have everyone back in our offices for some time,&#8221; Zuckerberg <strong>said in a post</strong> on his Facebook page.</p><p>Alongside its decision to not hold events of more than 50 people until June of next year, Facebook is also banning business travel until this June as well.</p><p>Facebook in late February <strong>canceled its annual F8</strong> developers conference as the virus was beginning to spread around the globe.</p><p>The annual Facebook show is usually held in late April or early May in the San Francisco area.</p><p>More than 5,000 people from around the world attended last year’s F8.</p>]]></content:encoded>
