The three-time Oscar nominee is being buzzed about for an Emmy for HBO’s “I Know This Much is True.” Ruffalo plays two roles (twins), one battling serious mental-health issues. He lost 20 pounds to play one, then gained that weight back, plus an extra 20 pounds, to play the other.

An online screening drew Al Pacino, Chris Pine, Laura Linney, Sienna Miller and Hilary Swank, who wrote on Insta: “@markruffalo I bow down to you.”
