        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>These kids got a &#8220;Perfect&#8221; lockdown lesson.</p><p>Ed Sheeran surprised a class of young British school kids by joining their Zoom video lesson &#8212; even teaching them to play some of his hits, according to a report.</p><p>The &#8220;Shape of You&#8221; superstar surprised the elementary-aged kids at South London&#8217;s Ecclesbourne Primary School by joining the class taught by his friend, songwriter Timothy Spoerer, <strong>The Sun said</strong>.</p><p>He shared about his own school years and the &#8220;hard work and struggling&#8221; it took to make it in music &#8212; and even taught them how to play hits like &#8220;Perfect&#8221; on the guitar, the UK paper said.</p><p>The school district first <a href="https://twitter.com/PegasusAcademy/status/1255882866736562176" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">revealed his surprise appearance</a> on April 30.</p><p>Sheeran admitted to the kids that he &#8220;wasn’t very smart at school,&#8221; the paper said. &#8220;I thought I was an idiot for a very long time,&#8221; he reportedly told the pupils.</p><p>&#8220;I couldn’t do maths, science and English and I was told to be successful in life you had to do those things.</p><p>“I loved playing music, that’s what made me happiest. My dad always said to me, ‘If you want to be a musician work really hard at it,&#8217; &#8221; he told them.</p><p>He also admitted that he had no immediate plans to end <strong>his music-business hiatus</strong>.</p><p>&#8220;Not for a while some time next year,&#8221; he reportedly told them. &#8220;I need a year off not doing anything.
