The fashion designer, 37, is on a mission to create one million face masks to distribute to those in need. But when he enlisted a few of his star clients to help out, it seems at least one ignored the call.

“Remember how every time you needed a dress, I would instantly drop everything to prioritize you? I would stop all my projects to make you something special last minute?,” Costello wrote on Instagram, without naming names.

“Now I ask you for help to give back to our community yet you leave me on ‘seen.’ So now you don’t need a dress because we are all stuck in our living rooms with nowhere to go … Just know that I will always remember the night I asked you for a little. help and you left me on seen. The next time you need my help, just don’t feel bad when I pretend like I didn’t see you message either.”

He signed the open letter, “Petty bitch.”

Costello is also selling non-medical grade face masks on his website for $20 each. For every mask sold, he is donating two to any hospital the customer chooses, so medical professionals can wear them over their N95/KN95 personal protective equipment.

Over the past several weeks, the designer has also created custom face masks for FedEx workers, local Los Angeles restaurants and more.

“For the past month, I temporarily closed my fashion business downtown LA. I was self-isolating at home, feeling broken and helpless,” the designer wrote in the beginning of April, revealing that his team produced thousands of masks on his own dime before requesting donations.

“I realized that if I couldn’t do what I used to do, I should still do what I can, utilizing my time and talent as a designer to help those in need.”

Other independent fashion designers working to produce masks and other PPE include Christian Siriano, Michael Ngo and Brandon Maxwell as well as large houses like Prada, Armani, Bulgari and more.

Costello rose to prominence on the eighth season of “Project Runway” and works regularly with Jennifer Lopez, even creating looks worn by the singer and actress in “Hustlers.” Other clients include Mariah Carey, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Paris Hilton and more.
