The veteran actress, 70, logged on to her Instagram Live account at 1 p.m. PST ready to move and rocking white sneakers, black joggers, a white cap and a sweatshirt with her “Debbie Allen Dance Academy” logo front and center. She was met with hoards of fans starved for activity, who were not disappointed.

“Debbie allen better go head with her online dance class, come on icon! 🙏🏿” wrote one fan who posted a clip of Allen breaking down moves to Michael Jackson’s 2001 song, “U Rock My World.” Another fan added, “Debbie Allen teaching people how to dance on instagram live because everyone is stuck in quarantine is definitely the best thing i’ve ever seen.”

Several followers who broke a sweat with the icon went on to call the session “inspirational” and “the content we deserve.”

“I just completed an IG class with THE Debbie Allen,” one participant tweeted. “Omg best way to work it out on a Wednesday! Thank you Miss Debbie for giving the world the gift of dance at this time. YOU ARE A LEGEND AND INSPIRATION!!!”

Allen also had participants covered post-workout, guiding folks through a cool-down and alerting them to an upcoming class for the whole family.
