Cristiano Ronaldo has "tested positive for Covid-19 and will not play against Sweden," the federation said in a statement posted on its website, two days after Portugal's 0-0 draw against France in which the Juventus Turin striker participated. The star striker of the Portuguese selection "is asymptomatic" and is "in quarantine", said the Federation.<br /><br />The other players of the Portuguese selection, tested Tuesday morning and whose results "are all negative", will be able to train on Tuesday afternoon.<br /><br /><strong>Two other Portuguese affected</strong><br /><br />Last week, before the trip to France, two other Portuguese players tested positive: Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes and Lille defender Jos&eacute; Fonte. The training session, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday morning, was postponed Tuesday morning without the federation giving any explanation.<br /><br />A pre-match press conference is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT) in the presence of the Portuguese technician and a player from the selection, a spokesperson for the FPF confirmed to AFP.
