        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Country star Cady Groves was not tested for the coronavirus after <strong>her sudden death</strong> this weekend &#8212; with friends fearing she could be a victim of the pandemic, The Post has learned.</p><p>The 30-year-old was found dead in bed in Nashville on Saturday by a roommate who had not seen her for a few days, insiders told The Post.</p><p>She was declared dead at the scene and there was no indication of foul play, Metro Nashville police told The Post.</p><p>An initial autopsy also ruled out foul play or self-harm, her reps said in a statement Monday.</p><p>Her record label &#8220;asked specifically&#8221; if authorities tested the “This Little Girl” singer for COVID-19, but were told a test was not conducted &#8212; despite more than 3,000 people being infected in the city.</p><p>&#8220;We&#8217;re in the middle of a pandemic &#8212; you would have thought it was the first thing they would do,&#8221; one insider said.</p><p>&#8220;Her death was just so unexpected. The medical examiner&#8217;s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.</p><p>She recently opened up online about mental health challenges.</p><p>“Some days my&nbsp;<strong>mental health is AWFUL</strong>,” she admitted on April 15, saying, “I feel completely alone and scared and far from everyone I love.”</p><p>Despite her series of alarming tweets, friends and colleagues insisted that the singer had been &#8220;full of life and excitedly planning for the future,&#8221; including hopes of touring an upcoming EP.</p><p>&#8220;She was extremely positive and planning for the future,&#8221; said Camus Celli, a rep for her label, Vel Records.</p><p>&#8220;Her frustrations were more along the lines of, &#8216;Can&#8217;t we be over this &#8212; I want to get my record out and play some shows,&#8217;&#8221; he said.</p><p>&#8220;She was going stir-crazy like most of us &#8212; but mostly because she just wanted to get on with her exciting plans for the future.&#8221;</p><p>Another insider dismissed the &#8220;heavy words&#8221; in her social media posts as &#8220;millennial jargon.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;She was expressing the kind of frustration that a lot of people can relate to right now &#8212; it wasn&#8217;t a mental health issue at all,&#8221; he insisted.</p><p>A funeral is being planned in Kansas, her reps said. In place of flowers, her family asked for donations to the Music Health Alliance or MusiCares.</p>]]></content:encoded>
