Country singers Carly Pearce and Michael Ray are divorcing after less than a year of marriage, Page Six can confirm.

“This was a hard decision [for Pearce],” People magazine quotes a source as saying of the split. “It wasn’t something she wanted to have to do. This hasn’t been a quarantine realization — it was a last resort.”

“I Hope You’re Happy Now” singer Pearce, 30, and Ray, 32, got hitched last October. Their last joint public appearance was on the June 6, when they performed at an audience-less Grand Ole Opry show.

The two had been splitting their quarantine between Nashville and their respective family homes, spending a month at the home of Pearce’s parents in coastal Alabama, where Ray said they were taking a lot of “wine walks.”

“You just drink wine and walk around a small town,” Ray told People. “I don’t think I’ve ever walked more in my life.”

“It’s been a hard time for everybody,” the “One That Got Away” singer said of their time in lockdown. “But we’ve really tried to find the silver lining in it, and go, ‘We’re not getting out of this, so how do we make the most of it?’”

Professional acquaintances who dated for about a year before getting married, the two had Grand Ole Opry announcer Bill Cody officiate their wedding, and fellow country star Jake Owen sang at the reception.

“Knowing without a shadow of a doubt that I didn’t settle for something less than truly the person that I think was made for me is something that I am thankful for,” Pearce told People at the time.
