        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Christie Brinkley</strong> is terrified for her daughters who have self-quarantined in New York City where the coronavirus death toll <strong>reached 1,218 Monday afternoon</strong>.</p><p>Brinkley&#8217;s daughters, 21-year-old <strong>Sailor Brinkley-Cook</strong> and 34-year-old <strong>Alexa Ray Joel</strong>, are both self-quarantining in the Big Apple while she has been staying in her Hamptons home with 24-year-old son <strong>Jack Brinkley-Cook.</strong></p><p>&#8220;My daughters are — don&#8217;t even get me started, I&#8217;m missing them so much. And I&#8217;m so worried about them. They&#8217;re both in the city,&#8221; the 66-year-old Sports Illustrated model <strong>recently told Extra.</strong></p><p>The mom of three explained that her girls are staying put so they don&#8217;t risk potentially spreading COVID-19.</p><p>&#8220;Sailor was touring with ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ And she was meeting with crowds of people every night, hugging everybody so she said, &#8216;Mom, there is no way I&#8217;m coming home until I&#8217;m 100% sure I haven&#8217;t contracted anything,’&#8221; Brinkley said.</p><p>She added that Alexa, a singer, is also staying put for now because all of her recording equipment is in the city.</p><p>“She&#8217;s been working on some recordings, so she&#8217;s been hesitant to leave all of that, she said, adding, &#8220;Of course, I want my babies here.”</p><p>She added that <strong>Alexa&#8217;s wedding to fiancé Ryan Gleason</strong> has been postponed.</p><p>“Everything&#8217;s on hold right now,&#8221; she said.</p><p>Brinkley shares Sailor and Jack with ex-husband Peter Cook, who is<strong> engaged to much younger fiancée Alba Jancou.</strong></p><p>She shares Alexa with ex-husband Billy Joel.</p><p>Brinkley, who says she knows several people suffering from the virus, is doing her part to help those in need.</p><p>“I&#8217;m so happy that my company Bellissima Prosecco is going to be giving back … our sales to try and buy the personal protection that the nurses.. and arm the people on the forefront of this battle,” she said. “We&#8217;re doing this through a great organization called Direct Relief … They&#8217;re doing a great job of mobilizing and getting them masks &#8230; all of the stuff they need to stay safe so that they can work to protect us.”</p>]]></content:encoded>
