Online sportsbook Sportsbetting.ag usually helps wager bets on poker, horse racing, baseball, basketball and other live sports, but in their absence, it’s now taking bets on who will be cast in a future movie based on the hit Netflix docuseries.

Currently, the odds are in favor of Kevin Bacon playing Joe Exotic, followed by Edward Norton, who admitted on Twitter that he’d love the role. Betting that Ben Stiller will score the role isn’t as popular, but will net gamblers a higher payout of $500 if it happens.

Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern are contestants for the role of Carole Baskin, despite Kate McKinnon already being set to play the part in a limited series. Will Ferrell leads the pack for the part of Doc Antle — though Louis C.K. will net betters the most if he is somehow cast. James Franco and Michael Cera are contenders for playing Travis Maldonado, and both Leonardo DiCaprio and Channing Tatum are possibilities for John Finlay.

For any of the bets to payout, the movie needs to be released by Dec. 31, 2021.

Offshore sportsbook MyBookie is also taking “Tiger King”-related bets, but not for casting. Gamblers there are making wagers on whether or not Joe Exotic will receive a presidential pardon, if Carole Baskin will be found guilty of killing her husband, Jack “Don” Lewis, and if Lewis’ body will be found by December 31.

Celebrities are also duking it out on social media over who deserves the parts in a potential film, with actors Dax Shepard and Dane Cook jokingly arguing on Twitter about who should play Joe Exotic. Jared Leto, meanwhile, is trying to look the part, and Margot Robbie’s name has also reportedly been tossed in the ring.

For those looking to capitalize on the lull in live sports to make more tame bets, whether wagers are now all the rage as well.
