Bono has a new song for everyone stuck in a moment they can’t get out of.

The U2 frontman posted a video on Instagram Tuesday featuring the release of “Let Your Love Be Known,” his first new song since 2017, inspired by the suffering endured in Italy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“For the Italians who inspired it … for the Irish … for ANYONE who this St. Patrick’s Day is in a tight spot and still singing. For the doctors, nurses, carers on the front line, it’s you we’re singing to,” Bono wrote in the caption.

Last week, a video of quarantined Italians singing from their balconies to empty streets went viral on social media, which the 59-year-old rocker seems to reference in his song.

“Yes I walk through the streets of Dublin and no one was near,” Bono sings.

“You can sing across rooftops/sing to me down the phone/sing and promise me you won’t stop/sing and you’re never alone/ oh let your love be known,” the singer continues. “Yes there is isolation/you and me we’re still here.”

Italian fans were thankful to the singer, who has won 22 Grammy awards.

“Grazie ♥️ From Palermo, Italy,” wrote user @marco_messina14_.

Other users called on Bono to make a donation to Italian hospitals.

“My love, You who have a big heart and never let me down… Please make a donation to Italian hospitals,” wrote user @addict_ag. “We need new intensive care units.”
