Oliver, 22, was taken into Montgomery County Jail after police were reportedly tipped off by another driver that someone in a Ford pickup truck was not maintaining their lane. Multiple reports state Oliver had an open beer can between his legs when he was pulled over and a pistol was later found in his car.

“We are aware of the situation and we are gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this point,” the Bills said in a statement.

Oliver, a Houston native who attended the University of Houston, was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He had 43 tackles and five sacks during his rookie season.

He was the fourth NFL player to be booked on Saturday. Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker turned himself into Miramar Police in Florida as he faces four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault. Seahawks corner Quinton Dunbar, who along with Baker is accused of an armed robbery during a house party, also turned himself in. A $100,000 bond was set for Dunbar on Sunday morning.
