During his appearance on Nick Viall’s “The Viall Files” podcast Wednesday, former “Bachelor” Higgins, 31, opened up about the couple’s living arrangements in Clarke’s family’s Franklin, Tenn., home, revealing they’re sleeping in separate beds.

“Right now she has a bedroom upstairs at her parents’ house, I’m in the downstairs,” Higgins told Viall, a fellow “Bachelor” alum, noting, “it’s like a respect level and also just like how — what the logistics of it is.”

When asked by Viall, 39, if he had sex in the last week, Higgins replied: “Definitely not this week, and not in the last like, year and a half.”

Higgins was asked by Viall’s co-host if he and Clarke are waiting until marriage, to which he answered: “Yeah, you’re right.”

Last month, Higgins popped the question to Clarke. While the pair believe they’re in for a longer engagement, post-lockdown, Higgins wants Clarke to have the wedding she’s always wanted.

“At the end of all this, this is Jess’s day, our day as a couple,” he said. “But I want to make sure she has the wedding she’s always dreamed of and feels celebrated.”

Higgin was previously engaged to “Bachelor” finalist Lauren Bushnell from his 2016 season. They split a year later.
