A star-studded lineup of celebs including Andy Cohen, Billy Porter and Cynthia Erivo are virtually gathering to host a Passover Seder that will raise money for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s emergency response fund.

The charitable fundraiser starts on Saturday night at 8 p.m ET and will be streamed free, exclusively on YouTube.

The traditional meal which commemorates the exodus of the Jews from slavery in Egypt is usually a multi-hour affair filled with numerous glasses of wine and much prayer.

This event, produced by Broadway veteran Adam Kantor and culinary entrepreneur Brian Bordainick, will be a little more light-hearted and plans to tell the tale of the Jew’s flight from Egypt through music and comedy.

Other celebs who are slated to appear include Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Debra Messing, Jason Alexander, Josh Groban, Henry Winkler, Finn Wolfhard and Idina Menzel.  Rabbis David Wolpe, Sharon Brous, and Amichai Lau-Lavie will be on hand.

“In a time of confinement and uncertainty, a rag-tag team of Jews and non-Jewish Passover enthusiasts felt it was more important than ever to channel creative energies and gather community,” Alex Edelman said in a statement reported via The Hollywood Reporter.

He added, “We’re thrilled to be reinterpreting the timeless story of liberation and renewal while raising money for those on the front lines enduring — and fighting — an actual plague.”
