        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Andrew Lloyd Webber is doing his part to get the theater community back up and running.</p><p>&#8220;Just completed the Oxford Covid-19 vaccine trial,&#8221; the 72-year-old &#8220;Cats&#8221; composer captioned a photo of himself receiving the vaccine on Thursday. &#8220;I’ll do anything to get theatres large and small open again and actors and musicians back to work.&#8221;</p><p>Webber announced he would be <strong>participating in the vaccine trial</strong>, which is being developed by the University of Oxford and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, on Wednesday.</p><p>Fans immediately praised Webber for volunteering. &#8220;Much respect to you, sir,&#8221; one Instagram user commented. Another added, &#8220;that&#8217;s very brave, thank you Andrew.&#8221;</p><p>The coronavirus pandemic halted all Broadway shows in March and the shutdown has been <strong>extended until January 2021</strong>. West End shows in London have also been shuttered amid the pandemic.</p>]]></content:encoded>
