        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>American Airlines will resume filling planes to capacity starting July 1, the company announced Friday.</p><p>&#8220;As more people continue to travel, customers may notice that flights are booked to capacity starting July 1,&#8221; the airline said <strong>in a statement</strong>.</p><p>&#8220;American will continue to notify customers and allow them to move to more open flights when available, all without incurring any cost.&#8221;</p><p>Free flight modifications &#8212; including date, time, and location &#8212; will be in place through Sept. 30, the company said.</p><p>In addition to <strong>an existing mask requirement</strong>, passengers will be surveyed pre-flight &#8220;if they have been free coroanvirus symptoms for the past 14 days,&#8221; according to the statement.</p><p>Pre-check-in, all travelers will fill out a symptom checklist developed in consultation with Vanderbilt University Medical Center.</p><p>“Our customers trust us to make every aspect of their journey safe. We won’t let them down,” Chief Customer Officer Alison Taylor said.</p><p>The airline <strong>told The Post</strong> in May that it had limited flight capacity to 50 percent.</p>]]></content:encoded>
