        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Amazon posted and quickly deleted two job listings for &#8220;intelligence analyst&#8221; positions that asked potential hires to monitor &#8220;labor organizing threats&#8221; in the e-commerce titan&#8217;s ranks.</p><p>The postings were put up a few days ago and quickly caught the eye of news outlets and users&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/jfslowik/status/1300756214574276610">on Twitter</a>, who called Amazon out.</p><p>In a screenshot of one of the listings, Amazon said it was looking for analysts who would gather information on &#8220;sensitive topics that are highly confidential, including labor organizing threats against the company,&#8221; as well as &#8220;corporate campaigns (internal and external) against Amazon.&#8221;</p><p>Amazon took down the listings when contacted by news outlets, and <strong>told CNBC</strong> in a comment that the listings were &#8220;not an accurate description of the role — it was made in error and has since been corrected.”</p><p>Amazon did not detail which part of the listing was a mistake, CNBC reported.</p><p>The e-tail giant has in recent months faced harsh criticism from within its ranks over the way it treats its workers. It faced several protests at its Staten Island warehouse after a management assistant <strong>was fired</strong> by Amazon for raising concerns about working conditions.</p><p>Amazon warehouse workers in Chicago and Detroit also held rallies and work stoppages earlier this year.</p><p>Shares of Amazon were up 0.4 percent Wednesday afternoon. The Seattle-based company&#8217;s stock is now trading at $3,513.55 a share.</p>]]></content:encoded>
