The couple was spotted attending a drive-in screening of Franco’s directorial film debut, “The Rental,” in Los Angeles on Thursday. Brie is one of the stars of the film about two couples who rent a vacation home and believe they’re being spied on.

The movie is set to be released on July 24.

Brie, 37, and Franco, 35, kept it casual for the night, with Franco in a gray splatter-painted sweater and Brie in a corduroy jacket and jeans.

The couple is often private, even keeping their 2017 nuptials secretive and low-key.

“It was great, it was really special,” Franco shared at the time. “It was intimate, and it was really fun.”

Brie said of their relationship in an April 2020 interview, “We have great lines of communication, and I can talk often about my feelings.”
