In the video, Osbourne plays a patient at a mental institution, and McFarlane draws an illustrated version of him. In two different ways, he fights demons.

In a statement to Loudwire, Osbourne said that the title track is about a mental hospital. "Having a great musician like Jeff Beck play on my album is a huge honor. No one else plays guitar like he does, and his solo on "Patient Number 9" is just mind-blowing."

Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo from Metallica, Duff McKagan, Eric Clapton, and the late Taylor Hawkins will all be on the album. Tony Iommi, who used to play with Osbourne in Black Sabbath, is making his debut on one of his solo albums.

"Patient Number 9" was released not long after the singer had surgery to move pins in his neck and back. In addition to having Parkinson's disease, this is also true.

Since 2003, when he was hurt in a quad biking accident, the former Black Sabbath star had been in pain in his neck. In 2019, he fell, which made his condition worse, and 15 screws were put into his back to fix it.

Osbourne was sent home on June 14, one day after the surgery, and is still on the way to getting better.

In an Instagram post, he said, "I am definitely feeling the love and support of all my fans, and I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and well wishes during my recovery."

In a social media post, his wife Sharon also said that "he's feeling good."
