And the nominees are...

On Tuesday, Nov. 24, talented artists from around the world received nominations for the 2021 Grammys. This year, many stars received a Grammy nomination for the very first time, including Harry Styles and Megan Thee Stallion. Megan was surprised by the Recording Academy's Interim President/CEO Harvey Mason Jr. during the announcement ceremony when, as she was announcing the nominations, it was revealed she herself received multiple nods!

Surprisingly, BTS also received their first-ever nomination, receiving recognition for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song "Dynamite." The group reacted with a sweet post on social media, showing the stars cheering as their nomination was announced.

Doja Cat, who received multiple Grammy nominations for her hit song "Say So," recently shared a bet she made with her friend over the award show. During a press room interview at the 2020 American Music Awards, the singer spoke out about the possibility of receiving a Grammy nod.

"It being 2020, I expect the worst every day and I am really just kind of doing what I can. I am being creative and whatnot," she shared. "To see an award come out, if it's the Grammys, one [of] my friends has to get a tattoo of my name...My DJ from day one has to get a tattoo right on his ass cheek…I'm really excited if that does happen."

Who run the world?

Beyoncé just dominated the 2021 Grammy nominations! The superstar singer is up for nine awards at the upcoming ceremony, set for Jan. 31, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for "Black Parade."

"Savage," Bey's collaboration with fellow Houston native Megan Thee Stallion, is also up for Record of the Year, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

The 39-year-old singer, who already has 24 Grammy wins, is also nominated for Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl" and "Best Music Film" for Black Is King. As fans may recall, Queen Bey won the Best Music Film Grammy in 2019 for Homecoming.

Nominations for the 2021 Grammys were announced on Tuesday, Nov. 24, by Interim President/CEO Harvey Mason Jr. "This has been a tough year for our industry but I have witnessed, day after day, the incredible resiliency of the music community," Mason said via the virtual livestream. "This year's nominated recordings are proof that the creative spirit continues to be alive and well, and our nominees are a testament to the passion and perseverance that our community embodies."

"I'm endlessly amazed that so many music creators continue to use their craft to tell important stories, providing a dynamic soundtrack that both directly impacts and reflects our culture," he continued. "I truly believe in the power of music, and the 63rd GRAMMYs will be an opportunity to help us unite, uplift and inspire."

Prior to her Grammy nominations on Tuesday, Beyoncé opened up about how she's felt "changed" by 2020.

"I have learnt that my voice is clearer when I am still. I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life," she told British Vogue. "I came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching, and I have put out projects non-stop. I released Lemonade during the Formation World Tour, gave birth to twins, performed at Coachella, directed Homecoming, went on another world tour with Jay, then Black Is King, all back to back. It's been heavy and hectic."

"I've spent a lot of time focusing on building my legacy and representing my culture the best way I know how," Bey continued. "Now, I've decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy."

The 2021 Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah, is set to air on Jan. 31.

This is not folklore: Taylor Swift just received six nominations for the 2021 Grammys!

On Tuesday, Nov. 24, it was announced that the superstar singer is up for numerous awards for her eighth studio album, folklore, including Best Pop Solo Performance for "cardigan," Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "exile," Best Pop Vocal Album for folklore, Album of the Year, as well as Song of the Year for "cardigan."

Swift was also nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for "Beautiful Ghosts" from Cats, which she wrote alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber.

These nominations come just days after the "cardigan" artist picked up multiple awards at the 2020 American Music Awards. While virtually accepting the award for Artist of the Year, T.Swift, referenced her ongoing music battle and revealed she couldn't be at the ceremony because she's currently re-recording "all my old music."

As fans may recall, Swift recorded her latest album in secret amid the coronavirus pandemic and the record has received rave reviews since its surprise release in July. "Most of the things I had planned this summer didn't end up happening, but there is something I hadn't planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore," the 10-time Grammy winner wrote over the summer. "Surprise [hug emoji] Tonight at midnight I'll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I've poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into."

When the album dropped, Swift explained the story behind her new 16-track record.

"In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result, a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness," she shared. "Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory. I've told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve. Now it's up to you to pass them down. folklore is out now."

Taylor Swift's folklore Sweeps 2021 Grammys Nominations

Prior to today, Swift had been nominated for 35 Grammys. She won her first-ever Grammy during the pre-show telecast in 2010, picking up the award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her song "White Horse." That same year, "White Horse" also won for Best Country Song, while Swift also picked up Grammys for Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Fearless.

In 2012, Swift won Best Country Song and Best Country Solo performance for her hit "Mean," which she wrote about a critic of her music. The following year, Swift's song "Safe & Sound" with The Civil Wars won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media. At the 2016 Grammys, Swift picked up three more awards, scoring wins for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 1989. Swift and Kendrick Lamar's star-studded "Bad Blood" visual also won a Grammy for Best Music Video that year.

Amber Riley is starting a new chapter in her life.

The Glee star took to her social media late Monday, Nov. 23, to share that she's happily engaged to her boyfriend, entrepreneur Desean Black. "There was a time when I thought I didn't want or deserve this kind of love," the 34-year-old singer wrote alongside a photo with her fiancé. "I'm looking at a man who changed my mind. My time by myself, loving on myself, getting comfortable with myself, prepared me for you, and prepared me for this. I am so proud to say, I am the future Mrs. Black."

Amber, who portrayed Mercedes Jones on the hit musical series, added, "I love you @deseanblack_official and I thank you for your patience, your friendship, and your partnership!"

The bride-to-be also showed off her gorgeous diamond ring in a video on her Instagram page, holding it up to the camera for fans to see.

Desean also shared the happy news on his Instagram, along with a message about his fiancée. "Fellas, when a woman looks at you like this, it's a clear indication that you're doing the right thing," he wrote. "Now, when she delivers unconditional love that you've never experienced, it's another clear indication that you've found the one. Only a fool would let someone as special as this slip away. So I did what any wise man would do and put a ring on it."

"I love you to pieces @msamberpriley, or should I say the future Mrs. Black," he added. "#happilyengaged A king will always protect his Queen."

Amber first showed off her relationship with Desean on Instagram in October, sharing a screenshot of their DM conversation. From the post, it appears that Amber slid into his DMs, asking, "How are you?" 

In response, Desean wrote to Amber, "Hey beautiful I'm doing great and you???"

And the rest is history!

After sharing the engagement news, Amber received a flood of comments from fans, friends and fellow stars, including Glee's Jenna Ushkowitz who posted a series of red hearts.

As fans may recall, Jenna announced her engagement to boyfriend David Stanley in August. Alongside a photo of her partner and her gorgeous diamond ring, Jenna wrote, "Yes, a million times, yes."

It was an electrifying night at the 2020 American Music Awards!

Taraji P. Henson hosted the star-studded ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 22, and what an award show it was! During the ceremony, Justin Bieber took the stage to deliver his first performance at the AMAs in four years. He also teamed up with Shawn Mendes for their first-ever performance of their new hit song "Monster." New mom Katy Perry also took the stage to sing "Only Love" with Darius Rucker during the ceremony, which marked her first performance since welcoming daughter Daisy Dove with fiancé Orlando Bloom over the summer.

In addition to all of the amazing performances, there were also a number of stars who appeared (virtually and in person) at the AMAs to accept awards. While Taylor Swift was unable to attend the ceremony, she revealed the exciting reason why in her virtual Artist of the Year acceptance speech. After thanking her fans for their support, Swift explained, "The reason I'm not there tonight is I'm actually re-recording all of my old music, in the studio where we originally recorded it so it's been amazing, and I can't wait for you to hear it. Have a great night. I love you so much."

Cardi B, who also couldn't be at the award show, made AMAs history as the first artist to win Favorite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category twice. "Ugh if I would have known all this was going down today I would of rescheduled my dentist appointment," Cardi tweeted. "Im so swollen."

The Empire star dazzled while hosting the star-studded AMAs ceremony, kicking off the award show with a dance number. But it was one moment during the show that definitely caught the attention of the audience. While introducing The Weeknd and Kenny G's performance, Taraji appeared to accidentally say "sex" instead of "sax." The hilarious moment had the host laughing, but she carried on like a pro!

The "Level Up" singer spoke candidly about her third pregnancy while in the AMAs press room. "Oh my goodness, it has been an adventure to say the least because I was also pregnant earlier this year," Ciara, who welcomed son Win with husband Russell Wilson in July, said. "By the way, I learned that I was pregnant this time last year when I was hosting the show. When I went home both Russell and I found out, so a lot of special memories being here. But from a creative perspective, you feel like you have no choice but to be creative because you are in the same four walls every day. And then being pregnant, it felt like time was going really slow."
