The alleged intruder was shot by a 93-year-old man in Moreno Valley, California, on Wednesday. The man said the suspect came into 'a gunfight with a pocket knife.'
GAG News reported that the alleged intruder was shot by a 93-year-old homeowner just after midnight on Wednesday.
In an ABC News video, Joe Howard Teague, the 93-year-old homeowner, talked about what happened before the shooting.
Teague said that more than one person was trying to break into the house, so he got his gun and "approached them to put them under citizen's arrest."
He said, "They wouldn't do that. One of them came at me with a fishing pole, and the others kept throwing things at me. It was like someone bringing a pocket knife to a gun fight."
We're glad Joe is safe!

ABC News reports that Teague is a retired plumber.
At 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, he called 911 to tell police that he had suspects at gunpoint. When the deputies got there, 33-year-old Joseph A. Ortega, one of the suspects, had already been shot. He was in very bad shape when he was taken to the hospital.
Investigators say that "several people" were on Teague's property at the time Ortega was shot.
Police questioned Teague and then let him go.
